Do you help with tax preparation?
​
I will help with preparing 1099's and work with your accountant to get your accounts reconciled and everything squared away for tax season so you can maximize your itemized deductions.
However, I am *not* an accountant and I strongly recommend that you only hire a licensed Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) to prepare taxes on your behalf. If you're uncertain if your accountant qualifies, check their license status here: https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/consumers/lookup.shtml.
Don't have an accountant? No problem!
I am happy to recommend professionally licensed, local C.P.A.s who will help you prepare for tax season. Together, we will help you get caught up on your tax filings and get your affairs in order.

Payroll?
Yes! To ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, I will partner with your payroll company on time entry and salary information for your staff. If you don't have a payroll company currently, I'm happy to make a recommendation. Just ask!

What can I expect during our first meeting? What do I need to bring?

Please have whatever system you currently use to track your bills and finances available. We will review it together and discuss how I can help you achieve your personal and professional goals. During this time, I'm happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Sounds expensive... How much do you charge?
Your first consultation is free! The initial set-up will incur a one time fee, determined by the amount of time and preparation required to get your accounts up-to-date.
After the initial setup, your transactions will be categorized, accounts reconciled, and reports prepared on a monthly basis to ensure you have everything you need to stay in control of your finances. This is covered by your monthly retainer.

What bookkeeping/accounting software do you use?

I am a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor! I am certified in Quickbooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. I do not use any other bookkeeping or accounting software. If you're not familiar with QuickBooks, don't worry. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have and help you get started.
